You have to enter your car registration at the bar area and understandably purchase food or drink.
The journey around the lake both ways was fabulous with loads of flowers growing wild, wild fowl, and even a fox darting across our path to hide. It is a dog friendly park and is accessible to disabled visitors such as us.

The only issue we had was that the majority of the dogs were not on leads.

There is a restaurant here also, but this review is for the lake. The only minus is that there's a few rats running around that you might spot. Doesn't bother me, but I know a lot of people don't like them.
There's also a lot of fishing. I'd say too many in my opinion. During covid you could literally see the fish swimming around, but not now as there's always people there fishing.
Overall, it's a great spot if you like geese and the like. One of our favourite spots in MK.
