About Hertz

Hertz in Milton Keynes is a car rental service located conveniently close to the IKEA, which is great for anyone looking to rent a vehicle after a shopping spree. They offer a variety of vehicles, including vans, which can be particularly helpful for those who need to transport larger items.

The service hours are fairly accommodating, with operation from 10 AM to 10 PM on weekdays, making it easy to pick up or drop off a vehicle around your schedule. However, it’s important to note that there have been mixed reviews from customers regarding their experience. Some folks enjoyed the convenience and found it helpful for their needs, especially when renting a van for larger purchases from IKEA.

On the flip side, there are quite a few complaints regarding customer service

DEFINETLY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE APPROACH.
You can't get connected to the responsible agents and get response for your documents to make reservation.

Hertz ruined my all plans to move my stuff.

I've started my reservation 5 days before the moving date, but they didn't do the preliminary checks and response to me on time.

Should I start the reservation process a month ago?

They charged me the subscription but they don't tend to present a service for that subscription fee.

Van wouldn't lock on return - app plus code failure - automated phone service meant we couldn't get through to anyone, not a good idea when you have a baby and 4 year old in the back of the car. 3 hours later the AA had to pick lock shut as they couldn't even get a hold of Hertz. You shouldn't be a 24/7 service if you can't support the customers using your vehicles. Emailed to complain and told " Thank you for letting us know, We look forward to doing business with you in the future", I don't think so.

Ikea not much to say as most of you know about IKEA a flat pack shopping experience if looking for ideas for your house great place. to walk around, they have a restaurant always busy, the best time to visit is early evening no screaming kids, the weekend is a nightmare to many kids running around all over the place as well as loads of adults with trolleys, as mentioned best time to view at your leisure is early evening, Hertz also offer a service van hire etc haven't used as yet nut excellent idea how many times have you bought items only to find they won't fit in the car

If I could give no stars I would!
What was meant to be a quick trip to IKEA on my day off to pick up a click and collect order, has turned into a 3 hour ordeal.
As Hertz offer an instant 24/7 service, I though it would be simple and efficient to use (far from it!)
Firstly there were 4 vans available in the car park when we exited the store, but when we went on the app, it said there wasn’t any available for at least an hour.

Now to the actual renting part. Utterly ridiculous!
You have to register by sending photos of your driving license, which can then take up to 48 hours for someone to verify by email. You can’t rent a van until this has been done. Don’t bother ringing the Hertz customer service, you can’t actually get through to a human being, it tells you to press 4 twice to speak to someone, but it just says this is an invalid option and hangs up.

IKEA themselves weren’t able to offer much assistance, other than providing the phone number that I had already tried. In the end I had to go back into the store and pay to get my ordered delivered. Complete waste of time as I could have done this at home if I knew I couldn’t rent a van. 4 hours later and I have still had no response from Hertz.

Won’t ever be using this service again and would tell others to avoid it!!!

Recently went on a shopping trip to this IKEA while visiting friends. They had a sale on but that was laughable. I purchased several items including light fittings, candles, kitchen accessories and a few other items. I also made use of the free children's cache. This freed up an hour for me and the wife to get things done. We also purchased a meal, pudding, drinks and a baby meal which came in at £17. We thought this was really cheap. All in, we had a really enjoyable day out. Free parking included.
