Like many other people, I had an idea for a business. Unlike others, I decided to take a gamble and pursue it for a couple of months to see if it had legs, to see if it went anywhere. I decided that if I was going to go on this adventure, I needed to look as professional as possible (go big or go home).

Before I could approach suppliers/investors etc, I realised that I needed to look the part.

So, with that in mind I approached Yellowyoyo, and before I knew it, not only did I have a credible looking business, I had a brand. Now I have no choice but to pursue this idea, as it is too good not to. Not only did it grow legs, it's now snowballing!

After the first meeting with Yellowyoyo's Creative Director Amanda, and telling her my vision, goal and strategies, I knew I was on to something. This team really know what they're talking about. I'd played around with some AI generated images for a logotype, which I then presented to the team during a meeting. I'd mentioned how much I liked the image and asked if I could have a design that was similar.

It was kindly explained that while my approach could work, there was a better, more strategic way to tackle the project. Yellowyoyo brought decades of experience - I was fresh out of the army.

So, I listened and trusted their judgement - which turned out to be one of the best decisions I have made! Hearing a gentle no, in hindsight, was one of the most important things that could have been said to me.

They didn't just say yes for a quick fix.
They didn't just say yes to keep me happy.
They didn't just say yes to take my money and send me on my way.

They said no. Explained why they said no, made sure I understood why and still wanted to work on the project.

I cannot stress how important that was. I also cannot stress how right they were. I'm so happy I trusted their judgement and expertise. I'm now in a position where I need to take this business idea forward. Yellowyoyo have filled me confidence, and it looks too professional, too exciting not to.

I am currently on my third branding phase with Yellowyoyo. The first phase was research and customer analysis, initial design, logo, font, colour etc. I was kept up to date with progress via regular meetings and presentations. The second phase was collateral design and delivery, plus advice around marketing and advertising. Yellowyoyo very kindly utilised some of their contacts for me for swift delivery during this phase.

We're currently in the beginning of the third phase, where I've been introduced to more members of this fantastic and knowledgeable team - I cannot explain how excited I am moving forward.

At the risk of sounding cliche, watching something go from just an idea to this level of credibility is so rewarding. Yellowyoyo believed in my product, they really know business and what they're talking about. I'm in the establishing phase of this whole project right now but I will 100% be using Yellowyoyo in every capacity moving forwards.

Willen Hospice and Yellowyoyo have networked together for many years, but one particular event led to an exciting development for us, when Amanda Wright initiated a conversation with our then Corporate Fundraiser Tamsin Rawlings and Fundraising Manager Dawn Clark.

Yellowyoyo had played a part in the founding of a business club for a Hertfordshire based hospice, described the process and were instrumental in opening our eyes to a format that could work for Willen Hospice.
And as Hospice's don't compete, Amanda connected us with an opposite number at the other hospice, and we were able to discuss and learn from them, prior to setting up a working party to help the idea to come to life.

Willen Hospice Business Club was launched in December 2016. Roll on 7 years and the club has developed and continues to go from strength to strength, with many likeminded businesses joining as members.

Yellowyoyo have worked with the Foundation as mutual partners for many years, both in a paid and voluntary capacity. We value their strategic and creative expertise and the advice and support they give in helping us to work with other businesses to build our grant funding to the community.

I reached out to Yellowyoyo to help me with the launch of a brand new business. I was keen to work with them from the very beginning, they offered superb advice on the initial enquiry chat, made me feel really comfortable and what I loved most was they could envision what I was trying to achieve.

Their Business & Brand Discovery Workshop was the perfect place for us to start. It allowed us to dig really deep into what the brand's purpose was, its mission and its values. We could then work through straplines for the business and messaging that would be used in our marketing, and on our website and promotional materials.

Setting this foundation with the Yellowyoyo team allowed them to fully immerse themselves into the visions for the business, which in turn made the design work so intrinsically linked. It was like they were looking inside my head!

The design phase for our packaging has been super fun. The team have taken those visions and values for the business and placed them onto a box! We shared ideas and they gave such valuable advice with regard to what would work, and where I might rethink. I received sneak peaks of the design work throughout, which allowed me to reflect on bits I liked or wanted to improve. I was a super fussy client to work with and they never once made me feel that I was troubling them. They understood my need for perfection!

Yellowyoyo have inspired my visions. They have been fully invested in the launch of this new business and I could not recommend them highly enough to anyone starting a new business or rebranding and existing business.
