Bannatyne Health Club & Spa

This company puts an admirable amount of effort in making it very difficult to end a membership with their health club. Even after the original contract runs out. I've never encountered anything like this before.

A lovely body massage by Jasmine! I definitely recommend it as I will be returning. The only reason for 4 stars not 5 is about the communication from the Bannatynes themselves. On the induction day, I was sold a monthly spa treatment as an addition to the regular access. Only after it was sold, it appeared that the spa add-in included a limited number of treatments. That wasn't made clear when selecting premiums and until this day I'm not sure what treatments are included and which ones are not.

Awful billed as a Spa experience but nothing relaxing about this health club would not recommend

Has great potential, looks dirty in many places, in need of maintenance everywhere. Some staff super friendly, some rude.
Too expensive

Awful place. Incredibly underwhelming.
Feels unclean and unhygienic, you cannot relax and at all.

Coming into the club (up the stairs) from the car park was very off-putting as it was run down and needed repairing but once inside, you're welcomed by a lovely indoor garden with water fountains and even a fish pond.
The staff were very helpful and polite. Check-in was easy and quick.
There's a well equipped gym.
Changing rooms and pool area was clean and well kept.
Treatment rooms were relaxing, warm and clean.

Loved my spa treatment afternoon great value for money

This place should be on everyone's bucket list, it certainly was an amazing experience.

Would give zero stars if I could. Had a spa day booked with a voucher (Christmas present from husband). Would have been first time in a spa in 6 years (and since having 3 kids). Had a phone call 2 days prior checking i was still attending to which I told the staff member I had actually gone into hospital that morning with my 7 month old and didn't think we would be out but would know more the following day. Appreciated I hadn't contacted them to cancel but when baby was admitted urgently the spa wasn't exactly at the forefront of my mind. Was told that's not a problem, due to the circumstances i could rebook, even though that would be after voucher expiry. Was assured I could rebook despite cancellation policy. Was advised to reply to the email she would send to confirm everything. Sent this email the following day. Had another call from Gabby on the day, to which I said I was still in hospital. My friend and I came recently for a birthday treat and after seeing the reviews, we were dubious to say the least! But we had a fantastic day! We really couldn't fault it! PLENTY of purple parking within walking distance and the staff couldn't have been more helpful! We had the lava shell and Himalayan salt massages which were AMAZING and the masseuses were so lovely! The pool was being used for aqua Zumba when we got there but we had done our research on the website beforehand so fully expected this, after that we pretty much had it to ourselves! Lockers were big and easy to use, and the changing rooms were spotless. Honestly couldn't fault the day, do not be put off by the poor reviews!!

My experience at Bannatyne Health Club & Spa in Milton Keynes was unfortunately very poor, marked by misleading information and unhelpful service directly at this club.

Specifically, the "StartSmart" program, which was advertised as including 12 weeks of 1-2-1 personal training, turned out to be just three basic assessment appointments. This was a significant misrepresentation.

Furthermore, I received conflicting information regarding access for my young child. I was initially told by a sales manager here that my 3-year-old could use the pool for free, but we were then charged PS10 for a visit. When I attempted to add my child to the membership at this club, as per what seemed to be the policy, the staff here informed me they couldn't do it. This was incredibly frustrating. The advertised "2 x Complementary Day Passes" also never materialized during my time as a member at this location.
