Loved this place! The food was really lovely (I had pasta) and the service was brilliant. I have dietary requirements which they went out of their way to cater for - this is quite uncommon these days, so I was really impressed! They were friendly too and made sure to check that the food order was correct. Definitely recommend :)

First time visiting for my fathers 70 birthday, there was 8 of us in our party, 1 in a wheelchair as disabled.
At the start all was good, the food was amazing worth the money and so was the service until we got close to the end of our time slot.
We started to be offered tea and coffee and then the guy said I need to check that and the next thing we knew we were given the bill and any drinks to finish our meal were gone, an awful way to finish a lovely night.
A 2hr time slot for a party of 8 is no way long enough to be able to enjoy the experience, and I do believe this should be addressed and given a 3hr slot, especially for the fact we spent over PS300!!
I think another unexpectable part of this experience was that we hadn't finished our drinks but we had had to pay the bill and wanted to finish up but the staff were giving us looks as the next party had arrived and needed our table so rather than coming to talk to us professionally and offering for us to take our drinks outside, we w...

Lunchtime 1.30pm they ran out of a couple of dishes one being the chicken, staff unhappy and I felt like they couldn't be bothered.

Terrible service, after a vegan and milk allergy was given normal cheese and lie too!
Waitress was rude and made us feel bad for making a fuss, but an allergy is nothing to be messed with. We weren't charged for the mistake food. But it wasn't a pleasant experience.

First time visiting on Friday and had an absolutely amazing meal for my daughter's birthday. Food and service top notch. Will be back.

We visited The Italian Sul Lago at around 5:30pm without a reservation and were seated quickly, which was a great start. The location is lovely, with a peaceful view over the lake and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

The service was excellent throughout. Friendly, efficient and genuinely made us feel looked after.

We ordered the Beef Short Rib and the Beef Pappardelle. Both were superb. The short rib was incredibly tender and fell off the bone, packed with flavour. The pappardelle was rich and satisfying, with fresh pasta and a generous portion size. We finished with gelato, which was also excellent.

Generous portions, high-quality ingredients and great service made this a really enjoyable visit. We'll definitely be returning.

Booked the restaurant and requested window seat for a birthday dinner. This was not provided and we were told to just sit in the booth because the "hostess" assumed a booth is better?

Took our own made-to-order birthday cake and was told that because of a safety policy, invented by the restaurant, that they cannot even open a box containing cake inside the restaurant. The cake, not containing nuts and being a vegan recipe, was still considered a hazardous safety risk. It was like talking to a chatbot from 2003.... "sorry sir this is just policy". Bla bla bla "i just work here" usual british 21st century attitude.

Service was average and a great example of the usual UK dining experience. Waiters generally untrained, reaching across table instead of walking around, singing to themselves whilst working, the standard mediocre level of waiting staff. Could be massively improved if the owners invested in a little formal training rather than spending their annual budget on a chinese made p...

I had a really nice evening at The Italian Sul Lago. The location is fantastic - right by the lake, with a peaceful view that makes the whole experience feel a bit more special. Inside, the atmosphere is warm and relaxed, with just the right amount of elegance. It's perfect for a date night or a quiet dinner with friends.

The food was genuinely good - I went for the seafood linguine and it was full of flavour, with plenty of prawns and mussels. The pasta was cooked just right and the sauce had a nice depth to it. Starters and desserts were also well presented and tasty, though the portions could've been a bit bigger for the price.

Service was polite and attentive without being too much. It's not the cheapest place in Milton Keynes, but for the setting and quality, it's definitely worth a visit. I'd be happy to go back, especially when the weather's nice enough to sit outside.
