Unity Place Work Cafe

About

Unity Place Work Cafe is a local bank located right in the heart of Milton Keynes. If you're looking for a banking service in this area, it’s worth checking out. However, before you head over, let's talk about what you might want to know.

First off, the cafe has a rating of 2.8 out of 5 stars, based on 69 reviews. This suggests that while some customers have had decent experiences, there are enough concerns to keep the overall score below average. Out of the reviews, a notable 36 people gave it a one-star rating. That’s quite a few, so it might be good to look closer at what those reviews say to understand any common issues.

On a positive note, there are also 26 five-star reviews. This indicates that some customers are really satisfied with their experience, so it might just depend on what service you need. The mixed feedback could show differences in customer expectations or experiences with specific services offered.

In terms of accessibility, Unity Place Work Cafe has made efforts to be welcoming. The bank features wheelchair-accessible entrances and parking, making it easier for everyone to access their services.

If you're planning a visit, their hours are convenient for weekdays, opening from 9:30 AM to 3 PM. They also accommodate a shorter time on Saturdays, closing at 12:30 PM, but the cafe is closed on Sundays. So, if you need to stop by, make sure to plan around these hours.

Another noteworthy point is the cafe's friendly environment. It’s LGBTQ+ friendly and a safe space for transgender individuals. This welcoming atmosphere can make a big difference for many customers.

In summary, Unity Place Work Cafe is a banking option in Milton Keynes with some positive aspects, but also a fair share of mixed reviews. If you decide to check it out, it might be a good idea to explore customer feedback and see how it aligns with your needs.

Not had a need to use a branch until recently, but needed to make a cash deposit. I arrived early and was able to purchase a nice cup of coffee and relax in comfortable surroundings till it opened. Before opening was approached by staff and added to the queue. Also a straight forward QR code option to join queue.
After depositing cash, I was advised that I could possible benefit from an edge account. I was seen shortly after by another staff member who brilliantly explained the options and benefits. I upgraded my account and left a happy customer. Highly recommended although they could benefit from extended opening times.

I must thank AJ for his great service. I went for a name change couple of months ago and he sorted it out most efficiently by keeping me informed as it was busy, and then attended to my job. It felt really good having received such good assistance from AJ. Many thanks for your help.

Since the change of branch from Milton Keynes city centre to the one in unity place it’s a huge difference in the customer service . You are welcomed by a lady from reception after which you have to JUST WAIT for more than 1 hour . Just one person working it’s horrible and people are not being seen upon their arrival . Most people are frustrated with the waiting time and the service . Definitely needs improvement in terms of customer service . There should exist a reception desk so you won’t be ignored for 10-15 minutes at least before waiting in the queue.

I went into Unity place to switch my bank account where I was rudely welcomed by 2 women who were clearly too lazy to do their jobs and complained that they were only open for 1 more hour. Then, they refused to provide me with a service quite clearly stated on their website, arguing that I did not have the right documents (I did). They made me feel incredibly stupid for attempting to change my account and stated that I was”impossible” to be done online and without a new appointment. So I went to my car, to send the £2.40 worth of parking I had paid for and managed to sort out the situation in a matter of minutes. So thank you very much Santander, for not only wasting my time but my money too (great qualities for a bank)

No queueing system so everyone sits around not knowing who's next in line. When you speak to someone they want details of why you're here - it doesn't seem safe to say in front of a group of 20 people that you intend to withdraw thousands of pounds from your account.
