Be very cautious and make sure you understand everything about business accounting before considering to use this Aylesbury based company, Very quick of the mark to push blame onto you with mistakes they've made by not giving the complete professional advise you'd expect.
** Response to Company / Portfolio Manger ( Aylesbury ) **
Within the Initial Engagement it was made very clear to you and your colleague that all aspects of the company were to be prepared for closure ( This was your job to obtain information on ALL work undertaken by the previous accounts ) you didn't do this and that is where you were very unprofessional. Now to have a representative from a very well known organisation the fines came from agree this wasn't acceptable and that you could of easily corrected on our behalf, well, that was the point I had the unprofessionalism of the portfolio manager and company confirmed.
As to the chasing I did feel that I was chasing you and felt you were overcharging for this quality of work, the simple reason you never heard a complaint before hand is because clearly I'm a busier person than you and just hoped you'd pick up your pace.
There were a few occasions that contact was made with the portfolio manager at the Aylesbury office that made me question if I'd made the right decision allowing the work to go ahead and once the fines from HMRC starting coming through my suspicion was unfortunately confirmed.
My review here is fair and true and will be staying as it is to make sure any potential clients that might come your way are made aware of the poor experience we've had with you and also that we very nearly incurred a large amount of fines with possibly more in the near future to amend due to an incompetent oversight. This could of easily been rectified by yourselves if you hadn't just tried to wash your hands with the responsibility.
All I can say is anyone thinking of using this Aylesbury branch get EVERY DETAIL in writing and when you visit take a witness
( don't just rely on a worthless engagement letter not fully detailing things said in your engagement meeting in person )
I would also like to mention I asked at least TWICE to be supplied the hard copy binder of the accounts we've had done and as you can guess we still haven't had them.. This is just another aspect of unprofessionalism within this company but still charging you a good amount of money.
* If we could of published this review without a single star we would have due to the time lost and potential costs in fines this experience could of cost us.
