We have just spent the bank holiday at this lovely place. Rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Ground are lovely and well kept and the food is amazing and such good value for money. The staff are very helpful, and attentative to your needs and cannot do enough for you. We also had our dog and he was welcomed exactly the same as the guest - cannot fault his place and will definately be back.
We went as a family last minute for a Sunday Roast and we were not disappointed. Fantastic meal so much to eat, with a never ending sides included with the meal. We could not fault the quality of the food. Service was excellent and a fantastic venue. Definitely will go back.
Great place to stay, Rooms could be better ventilated especially in warm weather, staff were great very helpful. Location is good needs a little bit more to attract more people.
The drive is destroyed... you need a tank to get there
I had booked my room at this hotel back in November 2025. I then receive a phone call at the end of March to inform me that they have a new booking system and that I'll have to cancel my booking. This is really unacceptable, considering my booking was confirmed 4 months prior. If they suddenly had a new system in March then a decent business should honour previous bookings that were booked first. I was informed that there was plenty of other hotels available in the area for the same dates - but, of course, they are more expensive than what I was going to pay at Lakehurst. I was looking forward to my stay here and I can only assume that they lied about the new booking system due to demand locally for rooms because of a large event on at the MK bowl, therefore likely cancelled my booking to make it available for customers at a higher price. I can see from other reviews that I'm not the first person this has happened too. Quiet unprofessional behaviour.
Stayed here before, absolutely stunning and such a comfortable stay! The staff are absolutely amazing! The location is so good I came back not long for a dog walk with my boy and he loved the walk as a whole! Not too short, not too long but perfect amazing scenery. It was honestly magical. I'd 100% recommend. This is a regular for me and my boy. After the walk we sat down for some lunch, the best food I've ever had and the service was magical. Highly recommend!
Lakehurst Park, more like Lakeworst Park. We booked on Mothers day with my Wife, son and her Parents, Firstly its table service by a waiter, we order our drinks and then he comes back with a card machine to pay for them, we are splitting the bill and intend on having more drinks, we question this and it is because they are very busy you have to pre pay. My son does not like roast dinner, so we asked if we can purchase a bowl of ice cream as he had already had food at home, the waiter went to ask a Manager, he came back and said this was not possible, we asked to speak to a manager, we were told he wont come to the table and we have to go to him at the bar. I was quite abruptly told to get an ice cream he must have the set menu roast dinner package and they would not sell it to me separately, although unhappy we persisted as its a family occasion. The table decor was poor and what seemed like McDonalds serviette's, we then waited 40 minutes for the drinks and had to go chase them again with the most unhelpful manager in the world (I believe his name is Shane). I was excited to try food cooked by "the brothers supper" i had heard good things, the roast was dry with no chicken or Turkey option, with some sides of veg which were not very appetizing. Then comes desert, it comes on a trolley like the person at a prison delivering tea. The worst slice of apple pie ever, looked like it had been brought at Aldi and served up, no cream or custard available. Upon deciding to leave and go to another pub to carry on the celebrations my Wife and Father in law spoke to the Manager again to voice our experience of such poor customer service, A very rude man, we questioned why on their social media it states "mothers get a little treat", when questioned on what this was the response was "That's only on social media for marketing to get people through the door". In summary the venue is in a lovely setting and the poor young waiter was trying his best, i have been to weddings here when run by different management as Kingfisher and it was fantastic, It still could be a great venue. However it will get nowhere with the management style it currently has.
Absolutely terrible experience. Owner (shane) attitude is disgusting. Mother's Day ruined.
35 mins wait for a drink. Could not accommodate my son's eating requirements.
Had to pay at the table before any drinks/food was served. Dry cold carvery. The deserts, from tesco on a trolly. No cream/ice cream with deserts (they didnt do that) Cheap paper napkins. Warm bottle of wine. Flat lager. Raised all of these concerns 3 times with Shane. I cannot believe how he spoke to my family. His attitude is the worst i have ever experienced (i have never complained in a restaurant before)
No acceptance from Shane when we raised our concerns. Honestly cannot believe how he dealt with us.
Room mis sold on booking.com so they phoned to tell me it was fully booked and they had overbooked, I then cancelled my booking and now the room is back on booking.com for double the price! This was brought as part of a Christmas gift so not impressed!
