Both my children attended this school and both loved it. My son is autistic and has learning difficulties and my daughter is more academic and both were given the support and challenges they needed. The teaching was great and it was a very welcoming school community. I always felt heard by the teachers and still remember how sad I felt the last time I picked my daughter up from there.
All 4 of my children went to Loughton Manor First School. Teachers and facilities were brilliant. Would definitely recommend
I chose LMFS for my three boys when we were planning a move to Milton Keynes with my husbands job. We researched & visited several schools & liked LMFS so much we chose a house in Loughton instead of neighbouring areas. It was a very good choice. This was 15y ago but the things I liked about the school still hold true today.
The school is an infant school so it's relatively small compared to a primary school. This mean't the staff really knew my boys & us as a family. My eldest boy went on to be diagnosed with high functioning autism at the feeder middle school but the investigative steps & support were put in place at LMFS. My sons have done well in life in no small part due to a caring & supportive experience at LMFS.
When my youngest son was a pupil I became a parent helper in the library, which led to the opportunity to apply for a playworker role. This later led to a role supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) & I am still a SEN teaching assistant 9y later. So I can say from personal experience that if you want a caring & supportive school experience for your child I'd recommend LMFS.
Brilliant school. Children seem very happy, wonderful teaching and support staff. Wrap around care is great. Great variety of clubs. Couldn't have asked for a better start to school life.
We love this school. Teachers are so kind and supportive for kids, always welcoming them with their smile. The way how they approach to each kid is so inspiring. My both kids love to come to school and this is really great achievement of school. All the classes, like yoga, Spanish lesson, riding horses, tennis is so great they have opportunity to try so different things. Mindfulness on breaks. Love evrything about this school honestly. Never had any issues with school or teachers.
All three of my children loved going to Loughton Manor First School. The teachers are fantastic and all the extra activities they offer beyond the curriculum was brilliant. Lovely, nurturing school that brought the best out of all my children. My children have such fond memories of attending this school, and I was genuinely sad when they moved on to junior school. Would highly recommend!
My daughter loved the school and teachers. It is very nuturing and the teachers really care about the children and their personal and academic development.
Both my boys went to Loughton Manor First School and Nursery. They made friends, enjoyed their learning and had lots of exciting opportunities in the years that they were there. The school is welcoming and friendly and maintains good relationships with families. So much so that people go back to events even though their children have left! Highly recommended.
Fantastic school. Both of my kids started at Monkeys and went all the way through, giving them the best first school experience. The environment is lovely and the staff are so caring. We still get nostalgic when passing the school, reminiscing about all the events and things that make Loughton Manor so special.
Absolutely fantastic school, cannot recommend it highly enough. I've had two children go all the way through and one who is there now. The culture of prioritising children being safe and happy is so evident wherever you look and people often comment on it when they visit the school. There is a huge range of extra opportunities like learning to play a musical instrument, trips and activities. Also excellent teaching with consistently high results. Definitely worth applying even if you're out of catchment and I'd recommend getting children into the nursery class as it makes the transition to starting reception age 4 so smooth.
