Although we were only staying one night (to see a gig in nearby Wolverton), we found the hotel to be in a lovely location looking out over a golf course, with comfortable, well presented rooms. We ate at the bar and found the food to be tasty and good value. The bar also had a decent range of beers. Breakfast was great and we were glad we booked it. All in all we can thoroughly recommend the hotel as a base if you are doing things in or around Milton Keynes.
Overall good hotel for business and golf trips. Staff all lovely, food in the restaurant is good too. A few standard rooms are a little tired places. Especially bathrooms where broken fittings or trims need some attention. Nicest rooms have a view of the course.

I can't comment on the rooms and I've only been to a small conference, so only seen the conference room and lobby/bar area. The soce for the conference was great, lobby, toilets and bar all very modern looking and clean.

We stayed one night as we were attending a wedding close by and were so disappointed by our entire stay. After booking our rooms over a month in advance we arrived an hour after check in to be told that are rooms weren't ready and they needed to double check they had been cleaned. We arrive well over after check in time and needed to get to the wedding as soon as possible. The lady who checked us in was extremely nonchalant and did not once apologise for the delay it caused us. One of the rooms had a terrible smell and there were towels/sheets thrown at the bottom of the stairwell which was quite an eye sore and not the standard of other Mercury's I've stayed at previously. We had breakfast included in our booking and the man who ushered us to our seats at the restaurant was very rude. His name was Dee-Jay. He sat us at a dirty table with no cutlery or mugs. I had to ask for the table to be wiped down and once he brought the silverware over he just left them piled up in the middle of the table instead of set at each placing like all the other tables. The level of service was appalling and the only thing that made up for it was the wonderful and kind gentleman who was making the eggs. I would avoid staying here in future and would not recommend to anyone.

I brought a coffee into the hotel that had gone cold during the drive and politely asked if it could be warmed up. A member of staff kindly agreed to help, however another waiter named Shawn intervened and stated that they do not warm up outside coffee. While I understand policies may be in place, I was disappointed by the manner in which the situation was handled, as it left me feeling embarrassed and uncomfortable in front of other guests.
Had the matter been addressed privately and more professionally, I would not have had an issue. It is unfortunate that one staff member's behaviour can negatively impact the image of both the hotel and restaurant. I believe the team would benefit from further customer service training to ensure guests feel respected and valued.

Cant speak on rooms as never stayed. Did go to a wedding there, & the room we celebrated in was beautiful. Not overdressed, but classy. Food was lovely, & to have a menu to choose from before the day was unusual & very welcome. Staff were discreet, but available throughout the event. Would definitely recommend.

Lady at reception with the nails was very helpful, friendly and bubbly. Bar staff are awesome too.
Room was a tad brown and cramp, but had everything we needed and was clean too.
