My son has attended the MK Shotokan Karate Academy for the last few years. It is run by a father and son team, Keith and Kennedy Lambourne. Keith showed my son and I around the Dojo, and I was very impressed by how helpful and encouraging he was when we first met. So I would certainly highly recommend this Karate Academy.

I'm looking around for a Karate club for my kids. I visited today to explore if this club is right for my kids. Entering the grounds there is plenty of parking, entering the dojo there is a nice reception and the facilities are neat and tidy and good lighting. Keith was very welcoming and allowed the kids a free class so they could get a feel. Keith put my kids at ease as he informed them with a great introduction. He showed us around before we start as the club has great facilities. There is a nice glass seating area where parents and guardians can sit, watch and talk without disrupting the class. Keith's son took my kids through blocking and striking techniques preparing them for their first experience of strikes and blocks in set floor patterns. Keith and his son then gave clear instructions with safety in mind to all the class before a sparing session. The sparing session was observed closely so that the experienced kids were controlled with the new kids. Keith and his son also gave the kids feedback to improve the kids technique and fighting skills.
Kieth and Keith's son thank you for having our kids for the trial session, we will be looking at other clubs, but I think it will be hard to match from the experience we have had. It's likely we will be back as the kids loved it!
