Novotel Milton Keynes

Great hotel with friendly staff, swimming pool is a bit small however they have a reservation which helps. Steam room didn't work. Great breakfast.

We stayed one night at the Novotel Milton Keynes and had a very good experience overall. We chose the hotel because of the pool, as our two boys aged 7 and 9 love swimming. The pool was a good size, around 29degC, and both the pool and sauna were free to use with no time restrictions, which we really appreciated. We even arrived 1.5 hours before check-in, and the manager Arun kindly gave us towels and allowed us to use the pool early, which made our boys very happy.

The room was very clean and comfortable, and I especially enjoyed relaxing in the bath after a tiring day. There is also a beautiful forest near the hotel which we explored and loved.

Breakfast was good and kids eat free, which is always a bonus. A special thank you to Arun, who was very attentive and handled some noisy teenagers in the pool area professionally to make sure guests could enjoy themselves peacefully.

Overall, we had a lovely stay and would happily visit again.

Good things I liked: Plenty of parking. Location easy to get to. Bedding clean and selection of firm or soft pillows. Bar experience was good. They put my food onto a tray as ordered. It was a good place if you just needed a no-thrills place to stay, I would not rate it 3 star on this visit.

Unfortunately I didn't enjoy my stay.
The room carpeting was filthy and not even cleaned. The shower unit drain mechanism handle was not working, so I had to manually actuate the drain by lifting it manually. The free internet was very slow and not really useful other than checking emails, forget it if you want to watch something without constant buffering.

Front desk was NOT always staffed... When someone did finally turn up, the foreign worker seemed to make the process of ordering a drink a fiasco. (They must have been new) In the end it took over 5+ minutes so i just walked away.

I don't think I will return here, I think as a paying customer I should have received a better service.

I had a day long break at MK and stayed in this hotel. The swimming pool, breakfast, customer service, room, everything was satisfactory. We got a big room. My 5 years old daughter really enjoyed the swimming and the dry sauna was also healing for me.

A very pleasant place to stay. Bed was comfortable, the room was clean. The breakfast was nice.

Staff lied about the pool being unusable due to a safety issue, the whole time a family of 6, including 4 young children were in the pool the whole time it was "unusable!" Stayed here specifically to use the pool! Then got to use it for 20mins when I questioned why there were still people in the pool if there is a safety issue, staff lied and said the issue (fallen roof tile) had been repaired despite being told it could take 24hrs as it was a Sunday.
