Thank you for sharing your feedback. We take all comments from our students seriously as they help us continually improve our motorcycle training courses.
We're sorry to hear you felt the equipment hindered your experience. While we provide a wide range of safety gear, including XXXL helmets, we recognise that finding a perfect fit can be challenging. We encourage students to contact us in advance if specialist or plus-sized gear is required; this allows us to transfer specific equipment from our other locations to ensure a comfortable fit on the day.
The motorcycle you were allocated was a new Honda CB125F; the largest manual machine we have available for this level of training. We often discuss future options--like larger A-licence machines--to help riders plan their progression. However for the CBT itself, 125cc bikes are required to meet the DVSA's compulsory basic training requirements.
We understand the frustration of not proceeding to the road elements of your CBT course, but our priority is your safety, both on and off the road. Progression to Element E is strictly competency-based. Our instructors provided 1-2-1 tuition for the duration of your morning session to help you refine machine control and braking. Unfortunately, because these core skills weren't consistent, we couldn't safely move to the on-road stage. This decision is always based on rider safety and meeting DVSA benchmarks.
We also appreciate your comments regarding the facilities and while the classroom elements refer to the content of the course rather than the location, we're currently working with the Ridgeway Centre to improve our on-site classroom facilities.
We would be happy to discuss how we can support your return to riding in a way that feels fair and productive for you. Please feel free to reach out to us directly.
