Our eldest daughter joined Thrift Farm back in August 2022. She has got to spend time in all age rooms and now she is enjoying her final few months in the newly built pre-school room before starting big school. She has never enjoyed being messy but having the opportunity to spend time in the garden, at the farm and in forest school, her confidence around this has grown massively. We couldn't be happier with the decision we made to bring her here that our youngest daughter also joined in January this year. Within the few months she has been attending, she has already formed bonds with the Baby room staff that has made drop offs in the morning so easy.

All of the staff welcome us when we are walking through the building, and the management team are always on hand to help with any questions we may have. Thank you Thrift team!

My little girl absolutely loves Thrift Farm Nursery. The staff are amazing and always go above and beyond to make sure she is happy and well cared for.
She gets to visit the farm every day, which she loves, and I've already noticed great progress in her development. The staff provide regular updates and have great communication, which really helps while I'm at work. It's so reassuring knowing she's in such caring hands.

My two children absolutely love the holiday club at Thrift. They always have such a fantastic time being outdoors and enjoying all the activities available. One of their favourite parts is seeing the animals and having their own petting sessions, which they always look forward to. They also love spending time at the park and exploring the camp.

At the camp they get to climb trees, play in the forest area, and really enjoy being surrounded by nature. Another highlight for them is making their own snacks, from garlic bread to pizza and much more which they think is amazing and always talk about afterwards.

It's such a great place for children who enjoy being outdoors, learning new things, and having fun in nature. I would highly recommend Thrift Activity Day Camps to any parent whose child loves outdoor adventures.

If I could give this nursery less than 1 star I would! Avoid!!! Team completely incompetent. Whilst opening the new nursery we were informed to send in an application and your son would have a place for April. We were told this multiple times by different staff members. The manager was also copied into this email. 4 Months later after receiving no email back from the nursery we are told our son cannot now start until June as there is now a waiting list. The staff members that told us this was apparently fired - a lady called Leah who they seem to be putting the blame on. The comms are shocking. Potentially the nursery team may be good but I would avoid purely on the basis as they don't know what they are doing!

Hi Jordan, Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that this has been a disappointing experience. Due to the opening of our new nursery building, we have seen a significant increase in enquiries. While we aim to keep families well informed throughout this process, we recognise that some earlier communication may have caused confusion.

To clarify, childcare places are only formally confirmed once availability is agreed, a confirmation email is issued, and a deposit is taken. While a registration form is on file, this stage had not yet been completed.

We are currently reviewing availability and will continue to update families as soon as next steps can be confirmed. We would welcome the opportunity to continue this conversation directly.

My son has been at the nursery for over 2 years now and we love it. I have recommended them to others who have also joined the nursery and are as impressed.

The staff are very welcoming and make leaving your child that little bit easier.

Our child has enjoyed their time at Thrift Farm Day Nursery, but as parents, we have had significant problems with the office management.

The main issues are consistent errors on our invoices and a complete lack of response to our emails trying to correct them. It is very difficult to pay an invoice you know is wrong when you cannot get confirmation of the correct amount. We have sent multiple emails and calls but no answers.

We are now in a position where we are being threatened with solicitors over these unresolved invoices, which feels very unfair. We simply want to pay what we owe, but we need the invoices to be accurate first. We hope the management can address these communication gaps to prevent other families from going through this stressful experience.

My son has been going to this nursery and will sadly be leaving for school in September. The staff are lovely and caring. Children under their care look very happy and settled which for me is the true measure of a quality nursery.

The kids are always engaged with activities. They learn to be independent and confident. My sons drawer for crafts to go home is almost full every day.

They probably have some of the best facilities one could ever want! They have an on-site forest school, a farm, indoor soft play and outdoor playground with slides and bouncy pillows. These facilities are all on-site! The garden outside their room is also impressive.

Due to the nature of our jobs, my son has been to 5 nurseries around the country, and I have probably viewed at least 20. This one easily takes the top spot. The staff and facilities are second to none.

My daughter has attended this nursery all the way from babies through to preschool and will be leaving to go to school in September. To say she loves it is an understatement, the care and attention that staff show the children in their care is second to none and my daughter is always coming home telling me about her day, what she's done and what she's learnt. To top it off they get to frequently see the animals, play on the bouncy pillows and playground at the farm. They also attend a weekly forest school where they use nature in their learning/play. I would and do highly recommend this nursery to all my friends and family, we'll be sad to leave!

I arrived at the nursery on time, yet they had no reception area to speak to a member of staff to check me in or out or show me to where I needed to go, so I was left looking for the baby room for 20 minutes, where in the end a gardener from the farm had helped me look, as he could see i was completely lost and puzzled walking round and round in circles, after i had spoken to another member of staff from the toddler room who I felt was unhelpful on directions and had zero time for me.
already at this point I felt this wasn't a very good start.

Once I arrived to the right room, the staff member made me feel as if I wasn't allowed in there and they needed to rush through the "system" of how the nursery worked, as it was only a "30 min appointment). I wasn't shown the nursery at all, but only the room of where my child would be. to me the room didn't look clean, and not a lot of interaction with the children.
It didn't give me a feel of love and welcome, considering I was going to be leaving my daughter there 10hours a day 3 days a week. This nursery gives the opportunity for children placed at the nursery to go to the farm on a daily basis (which was one) thing that drew me to the nursery in the first place) but sadly I wasn't shown the farm either, I wasn't even told that a new building was being built for the new nursery itself, until I left I saw a banner sign at the entrance.

the staff member who was speaking to me was so routine with words it wasnt natural at all. nothing was natural and no energy what so ever in excitment for my daughter to me part of the nursery.

When I left, this made me feel I didn't want my daughter to go there at all.
I required my deposit back that I had paid for her place, however this was declined, due to "Policies"
I paid PS150 in total PS50 deposit PS100 for the first payment. I have since emailed twice and have had no response, asking if I could at least have the PS100 asa refund as that was for the first payment, but again no response which I think is terrible!!

poor communication from a nursery is alarming considering you're suppose to trust these people with your child.
as a first time mum this has made me feel uneasy on leaving her in a nursery at all.

in the end I read off stead reports and to be honest I wasn't surprised after my visit.
clearly shows how this nursery is ran, unprofessional and no care towards potential new comers.

All 3 of my boys have gone there, my little one is still there and my other 2 have moved on to primary school and couldn't fault the care in this nursery and also how much they helped them become the little confident boys they are,I still use the holiday and after school club there as the boys just love it there. Highly recommend
