A man has received an eight-year prison sentence for a serious assault and attempted rape in Milton Keynes. He will also serve a four-year extended licence period following his release.
Wolverton incident details
The offences occurred on the evening of December 13 last year. The perpetrator attended the China Health Centre in Wolverton. While at the premises, he committed a sexual assault against a victim.
Following the assault, the individual became physically violent and attempted to rape the victim. The victim sustained injuries requiring hospital treatment.
Arrest and sentencing
The offender was apprehended on the same day as the incident. He was formally charged with the offences the following day.
The case concluded at court on Monday, September 7, where the sentencing took place. Detective Constable Jessica Dolphin commented on the severity of the incident.
DC Dolphin stated that the victim endured both sexual and physical violence during the attack. The officer highlighted the significant and lasting impact the defendant’s actions have had on the victim.
The investigation officer praised the victim’s courage and resilience throughout the legal process. Her decision to report the assault and support the case was crucial to achieving this outcome.
