Free Carbon Reporting for Milton Keynes Businesses
Over 1,000 free TrackZero carbon reporting licences are now available to businesses located in Milton Keynes. This initiative is part of a wider programme by Milton Keynes City Council aimed at reducing waste, energy consumption, and emissions throughout the city.
Businesses interested in claiming a licence are encouraged to register their details on the TrackZero website. The licences will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Meeting New Regulatory Demands
Many Milton Keynes businesses, particularly those supplying larger companies or the public sector, will soon be required to provide carbon data. This is already a reality for some, as comprehensive Carbon Reduction Plans are becoming standard for UK government contracts and tenders.
Requirements are also increasing for suppliers to organisations like the NHS, with new regulations due to come into effect from April 2027.
Without the ability to provide credible carbon reporting, some local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are reportedly losing out on contract opportunities. This programme offers a solution.
Local Support and Environmental Impact
The Milton Keynes Carbon Ready initiative provides local businesses with a no-cost pathway to begin tracking and reporting their carbon emissions. The programme is fully financed by the Milton Keynes City Council’s Green Business Fund.
TrackZero, a business with a local presence in Milton Keynes, is supporting this effort to help other businesses in the area achieve both economic and environmental benefits.
Interested businesses can find further information and register for the programme at www.trackzero.eco/mk-carbon-ready/. The first introductory webinar is scheduled for September 30.
