SUEZ has been appointed as the new operator for Milton Keynes City Council’s Waste Recovery Park. This change comes into effect with a new 10-year contract starting from October 1st.

Sustainable Waste Processing

The Waste Recovery Park employs sustainable methods to manage household refuse that is not suitable for recycling. This facility plays a crucial role in Milton Keynes’ efforts to minimize waste sent to landfill.

The park also contributes significantly to the city’s energy needs. It generates enough power to supply approximately 10% of households in the Milton Keynes area.

Existing Partnership Continues

SUEZ is already a familiar partner to Milton Keynes City Council. The company currently manages the city’s waste and recycling collection services, as well as street cleansing.

This ongoing relationship supports Milton Keynes’ strong performance in environmental initiatives. Last year, the city achieved recognition as England’s leading recycling city in national assessments.
