Woburn Safari Park has announced the name for a recent arrival: Apollo. The park had previously appealed to the public for name suggestions for one of its critically endangered Somali wild ass foals.
A Community Effort
Following the appeal, keepers received a significant number of name ideas from the local community and beyond. After careful consideration of all submissions, the name Apollo was selected.
Meet the New Foal
Apollo can now be seen at the park, interacting with the other young foals, Atlas and Ares. Visitors to the Savannah Grasslands enclosure may spot the three youngsters playing together.
