Woburn Sands bus stops get real time information screens

October 7, 2026 1 min read MKLBD Newsroom via MKFM

Two bus stops in Woburn Sands have been upgraded with modern, real time information screens. These new displays are now live at the Recreation Ground and Turnpike Road bus stops.

Enhanced Bus Stop Features

The state-of-the-art screens provide up-to-the-minute details on bus services serving these locations. Passengers with visual impairments can benefit from an integrated audio link. Information on the Marston Vale Line timetable is also accessible.

Future Transport Plans

The launch of these screens marks a significant step in improving local public transport. The Mayor of Woburn Sands, Councillor David Hopkins, attended the service’s official rollout. Plans are already underway for the next phase, which will introduce a combined bus and train information board in the town centre. This will help both residents and visitors plan journeys across different modes of transport more easily.

Councillor Hopkins highlighted the importance of addressing transport challenges that affect access to services and opportunities. He stated that Woburn Sands is committed to developing a transport system that effectively serves the daily needs of everyone in the community.
