Thames Valley Police are seeking information regarding an assault that occurred in the Broughton area of Milton Keynes earlier this month.
Incident Details
The incident took place at approximately 8:13 PM on Monday, September 7th. A 17-year-old girl was riding a scooter with a friend on Tanfield Lane, near the Co-op store. A light blue estate car reportedly stopped nearby.
An altercation then ensued between the teenager and two female occupants of the vehicle. During the incident, threats were allegedly made. The assault itself occurred between Oakworth Avenue and Cavan Way. Fortunately, the young woman did not sustain any injuries.
Suspect Descriptions
Investigators are looking for two female suspects. One is described as being around 50 years old. The second suspect is believed to be approximately 18 years old and has long brown hair, which was worn in a ponytail.
The vehicle involved was a light blue estate-style car. Police are particularly interested in any sightings of this vehicle in the Tanfield Lane area around the time of the incident.
Appeal for Information
Staff Investigator Rosanna Dinnis stated that inquiries are ongoing. She is appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the events or has relevant footage to contact the police.
The area around the Co-op on Tanfield Lane is often busy, with people travelling or visiting local amenities. It is possible that witnesses were present who did not realise the significance of what they saw.
Police are requesting anyone with dash-cam, CCTV, doorbell, or mobile phone footage from the vicinity to review it and come forward if it could assist the investigation. Even seemingly minor details could be important.
