Traffic is expected to be affected on roads in the Milton Keynes area and the M1 motorway over the coming weeks. Bedfordshire’s Roads Policing unit is managing the movement of large convoys.
Route and timings
These escorts will take place every Thursday and Sunday evening. The convoys begin their journey from Kempston, near Bedford, at 8pm. They will travel along the A421 westbound before merging onto the M1 southbound at junction 13, close to Church End in Milton Keynes.
Impact on journeys
The loads are destined for London, travelling via the M25. Each journey is anticipated to conclude by 9:30pm. Police advise drivers to be aware of these movements and to adjust their travel plans to avoid potential disruptions during these times. This schedule is expected to continue until mid-December.
